Buying hearing aids online?

I'm not sure if I should buy a hearing aid online. The prices are so much better than what my audiologist wants to charge me. Can anyone share information or their experiences with me?

I've heard some terrible reports about buying online. I know that hearing aids always need to be adjusted so what do you do then. Does anyone else know?

Adjusting your own Hearing Aids

Companies are starting to develop products that will allow you to use your PC to adjust your hearing aids on your own. This will save time and money (fewer trips to the audiologist, and less reluctance to buy online). As the technology improves, prices come down, and more people require hearing aids, most experts expect that there will be a major change in the way people buy and adjust hearing aids within the next 2 years.
